1)Introduction:
During the pandemic, teacher-student assessment completely changed. Teachers didn't know what was going on, on their end, how they wrote their exams, whether they wrote honestly or cheated. Whereas in offline, they could easily know what the students are doing. This pandemic changed it all. That is what we are going to see now.
2)Teacher-student assessment:
As we saw previously, it was much easier to monitor the students offline than online. It is difficult to know what the students are doing at their end. Some students do not even switch on their video and others claimed to have internet problems. This pandemic has been very difficult for students and teachers. Students didn't know how to prove to their teachers that they were writing honestly and teachers had a hard time believing that.
3)Virtual assessment:
With physical/offline classrooms being a huge risk during pandemic, teachers switched to online assessments. Online tests, exams and assessments became common allowing teachers to monitor the students' progress. These assignments were provided with instant feedbacks from teachers to students.
4)Feedbacks:
Instead of immediate feedback, students received feedback via texts, emails, etc... such as comments their behavior, performance and assignments. Now teachers could use technology to their advantage and identify new teaching methods/techniques and provide students another chance to study/shine. This type of techniques helped students improve their studies.
5)Conclusion:
This pandemic acted as a change and transformation in education, teacher-student assessment and feedback interaction. While this sudden change of plans posed some challenges, it also paved for innovative approaches and continuous improvement. The lessons during this will for sure ensure the future of education.
