Impact of COVID-19 on higher secondary students
Introduction:
Schools were closed due to covid-19 on March 2020 across india. Due to covid-19 lockdowns were launched many times. Because of this non-stop lockdown schools were closed which resulted in online classes.
Students found it hard to adopt the sudden change from offline classes to online classes. It mainly affected the higher secondary students because of their vast portions and public exams.
Advantages:
Students were found it easy to understand some specific topics because of video representation and showing some video explanation. The public exam was split into two divisions as Term 1 and term 2.Even higher secondary students written the term 1 exam as Mcq.
Disadvantages:
Students find hard to understand the concepts clearly. Parents provided gadgets like mobile phones computer and laptops to attend their online classes. Also for attending only 3hrs a day will affect their eye as well as their body.
Conclusion:
Due to COVID-19 in the online exam many students were copied to pass the exam. But Suggest not to copy because it may affect in public exam. I conclude by saying that honesty is the key to success.

immediately started an agent immersion of unplanned online teaching system. Due
to this the teachers and the students

them know their level. In this blog we will discuss about teacher performance
assessment.
Teacher evaluation and performance assessment
During
Covid teachers were very supportive to the students. As they were an essential
attender to students, they were teaching us self-learning and to make use of
the technology. Teacher analysed the students performance and gave feedback. In
my school we used an online platform called Neverskip. Teachers uploaded question
papers, assignments and home assignments on that. Students have to do it and
upload the same. Teachers will evaluate and give marks accordingly.
Teachers
were guiding us and made the learning experience in a fun way through online. They very well knew the students environment and helped them in for
their betterment. Teachers played a crucial role to make the student to
understand the concept. They made learning resources and uploaded in the
platform. They made videos and presentations to make the class interactive.
They evaluated us during classroom interaction while taking class or using
interactive tool.
Conclusion
During
Covid education system was affected, when the schools were closed and started a
new learning system, it was not easy to adopt a new learning way immediately. It
took time but teachers adopted the way easily and started to guide the students.
The strength of the education system during Covid was fully dependent upon the

There still existed many places around the world where there were no facilities for the online classes. It was difficult for few to attend online classes due to the lack of access to the resources. ONLINE EDUCATION-IN BIRD EYE VIEW.
INTRODUCTION: The spread of covid and lockdown caused a downfall in all aspect of living including the education system and the method of learning. Education is a necessity that it reaches all student without a hiccup even during the adverse Socio-economic conditions. The modifications in the caused a wave of outcomes in the society. This blog shows a outline of the events that went down in the regards to the education system in our country.
SELF SUFFICIENT LEARNING: In most the system we use the concept of learning and assessment to educate the students. At the wake of covid we started using online material instead of the textbooks, videos and recorded sesions in the place of live classes, online meeting for group discussion and remote classes and so on. It is notable that due to above mentioned changes students have become more self sufficient and learning become more individuals and effort than ever before. On the other hand learning become more tedious for the students who were at the early stages of learning.
EVALUATION METHODS: Similar to the learning methods the evaluation methods took a turn. The question patterns from paragraph answers to MCQ's. The exams were made online completely, for the students who were at the early stages found it difficult to adapt the sudden changes in the evaluation system. A heap of technical complications arose when the evaluation system was made completely online like server crashing due to excess incoming traffic , network interruptions due to power cuts malfunction and minor bugs in the proctoring application.
CONCLUSION: In some prospect of turn of events ended up hyping the often unexplored terrains like online certification e-learning platforms, online forums and so amongst the younger audience. The who reside in rural areas found it difficult to adapt to the sudden of technological implementation. It was an eye opening experience. By, M. K. KAUSHIK KRISHNA.
STUDENTS ATTITUDE TOWARDS SHAPING THEIR CAREER DURING THE PANDEMIC
STRATEGIES USED BY TEACHERS TO TAMIL FOR CLASS STUDENTS DURING THE PANDEMIC SITUATION
INTRODUCTION:
Because of the severe spread of covid 19, government passed many acts. One of the act is to close all schools and colleges. It is difficult to learn through a device. Sometimes a teacher or a student may not able to listen to other's words. On the other hand, if students have any doubt they can ask their subject teacher and clarify it.
CONDCTING TESTS:
because of these inabilities students cannot score good marks. Even in their own mother -tongue they could not because it is difficult to understand grammar. So to rectify these issues teachers used PPTs to teach students. They also conducted many tests like ability tests and diagnostic tests. Teachers modify their teaching method as per the results. They also used video learning so that lessons will be played. So it easy to learn even the hardest lessons.
REDUCING THE SYLLABUS:
Another strategy is reducing the syllabus. By this students no need to learn too much. They have more time to learn few lessons. Students felt relieved by this.
USING WEBSITES:
Teachers also used to teach through some which is most useful during that time. Some websites like Diksha.com and Samacheer kalvi resources teaching methods are also available. Using this we can learn all type of portions.
CONCLUTION:
By using these strategies teachers taught all kind of students. But they did not get enough time teach students. Students learn questions and do assignments using these websites. Some of these strategies had helped students to overcome their pressure on lack of time and to adapt to the new method of learning during the pandemic.

Changes in school discipline and behavior management during the pandemic
Introduction
Discipline and behavior management are the key elements of an educational institution to maintain a safe learning environment and a formal organization with a well defined authority and responsibilities. However, the Covid 19 Pandemic forced the typical schooling systems to go through drastic changes in various places including enforcement of code and conduct, discipline and behavior management. Lets see the consequences of this and how it has affected even beyond the pandemic.
Challenges Faced
With the closure of schools, we transitioned to remote learning and the students were provided with more autonomy and the lack of face to face interactions and disciplinary actions it could potentially provide more chances to the students to engage in disruptive behavior. Schools had to adapt to these challenging situations and devise mew strategies to keep the students in control.
Increased Responsibility
Students who have the access to many digital elements also had the Responsibility to use them cautiously. With basically no one to supervise them students had to take care of themselves, their work and manage their time more than ever.
Role of Parents
As theres a lack teachers at their home, parents who are physically present with them had to take the role supervising and constantly regulating the Students. We would've not gotten through the pandemic without good communication and collaboration between the school and the Parents
Restorative Practices
The schools couldn't take and any disciplinary actions but the next best thing was conflict resolving and restorative practices which is proved to be a more effective and a mature approach. It solved the students problems with reasoning by being more rational, inclusive and relative. Schools had to be more empathetic to understand and relate with the students to resolve their issues.
Impacts beyond the Pandemic
The consequences of these situations changes affected even beyond the pandemic was over. When the Students returned back to school they had hard time most lost their social and communication skills and their extents of maturity varied by a large scale. Schools had to be flexible and empathetic towards the students who are trying to adapt back in.
Conclusion
The pandemic sure did took a toll on everyone, both students and schools faced their fair share of problems and the faced it and passes it courage and glory, we wouldn't be here if we didn't. Moreover it forced us to be innovative and devise new.plans it is constant remainder that nothing will stay the ame and we have to constantly change and improve with time.

ONLINE GAMES DURING THE PANDEMIC
INTRODUCTION:-
Students have been suffering to learn in online classes due to the impact of COVID-19. The students got bored to listen teachers voice in device and lost concentration in the academic . In this blog we will see about the statergies for promoting active learning and student engagement in virtual classrooms ,including the use of breakout rooms and interactive activities during the pandemic.
Idea to improve student engagement in virtual classrooms :-
In the first period of online class every one will be sleepy, in case of that we can conduct some kind of activity that will help them to get out of that sleepy mood and get a little bit of attention. Conducting extra curricular activities about the lesson and interacting with the students may change their mood .
Use of breakout rooms:-
Since the students are not attentive , every day teachers must conduct online games. It must consist of games like bingo,xo,rock paper scissor and so on. These are some examples which will help them to get out of their stress and listen the class interestingly and improve their listening agility.
Interactive activities during the pandemic:-
Since the pandemic has been worst for the students, the following paragraph will tell you about the one of the statergies for students to gain attention in academic .
1st activity :-
Everyone will have friends, they must gather into groups which they like (a class can 6 to 8 groups). They must form a meeting and first conduct normal games upto 2 to 3 games is enough . which team goes first place will have to ask questions to other teams .In that which team goes to last two place will have to buy a small thing to the first team. This makes them to compete each other to get the highest score. (This activity should held once in a week)
2nd activity:-
When the period is going to end the teacher should ask questions to others,at the end of the month who is having the most of the points will get a gift by the teacher.
CONCLUSION:-
All the above activities includes competition between them which will truly help them to get marks in examination. The possibility to gain marks increases. And the pandemic changed everyone lazy these days. So let us follow all these and we will prove that everyone can study.

Environmental stewardship
Change in student's attitude:
After covid (pandemic) many young people have changed. This is because of the impact of covid-19 on student attitudes towards sustainable development and environmental stewardship. Now most of the young people are saying that they are showing more concern in maintaining their environment. But they were not that much concerned of maintaining their environment before pandemic. This means that they have changed very well after pandemic. They are aware of climate changes, saving their environment and many more. This shows us how the covid has affected the climate and environment.
Positive change:
During the pandemic the air was not polluted by industries and others. In some places there is a change in the climate due to this. So many, especially young people recognised this and did not want to pollute the environment again. They started to recycle things more than before. There were a lot of changes that differentiated them from before and after pandemic. They started to manage their eco-friendly materials such as growing plants or keeping a small garden in the home. They have started to play a role in improving the climate activism. The pandemic has shown them the power that they can change the world. They began to see themselves as agents. They were willing to save the environment. So, like this there are many positive impact of covid on students. They feel as if they got a responsibility to save the environment and make our planet a bright, clean and happy place.
Setbacks in sustainability:
On the other hand the covid pandemic has brought some negative impact on student attitude towards sustainable development and environmental stewardship in a number of ways. One of the reason is the increased stress. The students due to high anxiety and stress were not aware of anything. Even they did not look after themselves. So they were not taking the responsibility of maintaining their environment. Another negative causes of pandemic are the reduced access to education. There was a problem of acquiring education and knowledge during the pandemic. The lack of education makes them unaware of the rising crisis.
Conclusion:
The next thing is the increased economic hardship. The pandemic has caused widespread economic hardship . It also causes increased social isolation for many students. The pandemic has caused both positive and negative impact on students. There are some who were negatively affected by the pandemic.

STRATEGIES FOR PROMOTING STUDENT AGENCY AND PURSUE PERSONALIZED LEARNING DURING OR AFTER THE PANDEMIC.
SELF LEARNING DURING THE PANDEMIC.
-R.R.SAIRAAMAN IX.
During the period of pandemic, online classes has became an important thing for education. Promoting student community in that period is very hard for them to engage and learn. So here are some ideas for the students to learn in virtual classrooms.
1) SETTING CLEAR GOALS.
Students have to know what they are learning. They can do a PPT presentation by summarising the whole chapter in a mind map. When students are working towards it, they can understand the topics easily.
2)CHOICE AND FLEXIBILITY.
Students should have the freedom to choose their own topic. Doing this, their interest increases. They get a motivation and it creates sense of autonomy over their learning.
3) PERSONALIZED LEARNING PLANS.
Students have to set clear goals on what they are learning. It is a challenge for them during the pandemic. They will have the fire to finish everything on that day itself.
4)SELF ASSESMENT TESTS.
Students have to write tests regularly. By doing this, they can check where they went wrong and write that again for improvement. This can improve self-regular skills and self-awareness skills.
5)DEBATES.
Students should have to listen /do more debates. This helps interactions, new ideas, critical thinking skills, leadership skills.
6)SELF LEARNING.
Apart from reading, writing students have to learn visually. They have to do more projects about a topic. This expands their learning better.
7)FEEDBACK.
Students have to get timely feedback for assignments from the teachers highlighting the wrong areas and weakness for improvement.
8)USE JOURNALS.
Students have to write what they have learnt in that particular day in a journal book. This makes their learning better.
9) CELEBRATING THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS.
Teachers should celebrate students goals and studies. This is a motivation for them to learn even more better.
So In conclusion, using these strategies, students can take ownership of their learning and pursue personalized learning during or after the pandemic.
