COMMUNICATION NETWORKS USED BY STUDENTS AND TEACHERS DURING THE COVID-19 PERIOD
Introduction:-
Right after the start of the COVID-19 lockdown, schools had started thinking about how they could teach their children. It was then that the idea of online classes started budding. It was a simple idea- create a social group and send some notes. But what did schools use to teach their students? We shall see the websites and platforms that were used.
Platforms that were used:-
During the start of the lockdown, schools had used simple Whatsapp groups to send Word documents or notes. But as time progressed, many technical companies had created platforms made just for online classes like Zoom, Google meet, Neverskip, Skype etc. Out of all these platforms, the most famous ones were Google Meet and Zoom because of their simplicity and for the least difficulty. Out of these, the more famous one was Google classrooms- A derivative of Google meet made for Video conference calls and sending notes. Google was already compatible with other apps, but it was more compatible with their own apps. Google word, Google slides, Google tests were all possible to access or take reference of with just one click. And so, Platforms like Google meet and Zoom were used during the COVID-19 period.
Conclusion:-
Online classes evolved for when it was needed. It evolved more in one year than Physical schools did in 50. But even online classes had it's downfall. Students could cheat like it was nothing and schools couldn't do anything about it. But eventually, COVID-19 ended. People could go out now and students couldn't copy so easily anymore. Thus, the value of education had been regained and a seemingly new lifestyle had ended and the old one- before COVID-19- had ended. Online classes had gone to it's slumber, never to e woken again, with the exception of another pandemic rising to a worldwide level. This probably won't happen, or will it? I leave that thought to you.
