Pandemic period is one of the crucial period for academically underachieving students because this period fills with a lot of distraction. But this is also one of the best period to make remedial measures. So I have mentioned some ideas to teach these students during pandemic
My first idea is that to change the views of students on studies. They are thinking that studying is just memorizing the notes which is given by the teachers. They feel lazy to go through the whole book. Teachers must show some picture on the basis of the syllabus
Eg: some picture of
A - An apple flying by a balloon
B - A boy was sick and he wants a doctor to heal him
C - A cat was holding a lamp near the school gate for light
Through these 3 pictures the teachers can teach the students the first 3 elements in periodic table
A - a balloon flys through hydrogen
B- heal - helium
C- lamp -lithium
This process is called association method
This method easy for them to understand the concept
My second idea is that they need to understand their own level through examination
My third is that in online classes teachers can call them from 8 am - 8pm. The school must take this as advantage as many psychological doctors were saying that if each 40 minutes have some break it is easy for them to understand the previous class and to get ready for the next class.
My last idea is that if any student failed to get good scores in their exams then they must called for special class to teach them
Precaution needed to be taken by teacher is that they need to check wheather the students were attending the class properly or not
