After the arrival of covid-19, starting from business to schools, all were shutdown completely. Mainly the educational institutes and schools were uncertain about how to continue their upcoming academic years. During this time, the concept of online class came up. The upcoming academic year were conducted through online through apps such as Google Meet, Zoom, etc. But this is not the real problem. As the students are learning from schools they do not follow the proper routine which the followed in schools. This caused indiscipline among students. To avoid these and for proper schooling, the parents-teacher understanding played a crucial role. Because of covid-19, the parents of students can not meet the teachers in person which is essential for the student's success. Therefore, to make students learn in this remote learning needed, the parent-teacher greatest co-operation.
ROLE OF PARENTS:
The role of parents in online education was to make sure that their children are regularly attending the classes, doing the given work on time and studying for the upcoming exams. This made the teachers to play their role even better. If the parents took care of the responsibilities like network connection, study materials and motivate their children to study, the students would find it easy to learn through online class. Teachers should be responsible in making the parents to know the students results and give feedback on their studies.
ONLINE MEETING:
To cope the situation, the schools conducted online meeting frequently. Parents shared their difficulties and informed where their lack. This sorted out the issue. But those students whose parents were working could not do this. This paved way to learning gap. This impacted on them a lot post covid. These students struggled a lot. The worst case, are the student who attend the board exams.
LEARNING GAP:
The lack of parent teacher relationship impacted heavily on those students whose parents who could not interact with the teachers. I really feel that the learning gap is huge in those children. They really struggled to bridge back to the offline schooling.
CONCLUSION:
Online classes was a help of technology.In spite of having several disadvantages online class came in as a blessing in disguise for the educational sector. To think the plight of schools and educational institutes without the help of technology. Thanks to technology.
