Impact of covid 19 on teacher preparation and teaching experience A PRANAV IX C

The covid 19 pandemic had created a bad impact on teacher preparation and teaching experience. Pre service teachers missed out valuable oppurtunities of teaching in a real class room setup.
Disruptions to teaching placements - many teaching placements were disrupted due to covid 19 protocols. This had a disruptive impact.
Growth of online teaching platforms - various online teaching platforms were developed which were intended to improve learning. Let's take an example. If the teacher marks some thing in the book, when the student takes the book he or she will also look at other concepts also. But for the teachers preparing in online mode, they may get distracted by other unwanted things. This not only affected their learning of teacher preparation but also the students who they teach.
Let me also focus on other domains of teaching such as teacher art and crafts. Imagine a teacher learning martial arts. A master cannot see through a single camera and correct the mistakes. Later on the student practices the wrong step and teaches it to his students.
The covid pandemic was also difficult for teachers preparing from foreign countries, far from their motherlands. Their future was uncertain. They did not know whether they will be able to continue their teacher preparation or not. This created a lot of anxiety stress and other problems. At the same time, pre service teachers reached out for support from not only their mentors but also experienced teachers from around the world. This enhanced their teaching experience.
Teachers had to focus more on technology and solving technical glitches rather focusing on concepts. Those who have attended online seminars would know this. The first five ten minutes would be spent on solving technical problems. The most important thing is that they did not get to have eye to eye contact. 
Conclusion
Even though the covid 19 pandemic had created a lot of anxiety, teachers foung ways to make the best out of their learning experience by various ways like reaching out for support, being flexible and adaptable.
